Julia Vishnev is the Director of Training and Development at UAG. In this capacity, Julia focuses on documenting best practices and procedures across the company, defining workflows and interdepartmental responsibilities, and developing training programs and resource tools to elevate the entire team.
Wearing many hats at UAG since 2017, Julia brings a uniquely informed perspective to this mission. Julia began her career in risk management as an underwriter with AIG Environmental before transitioning to construction management with Hunter Roberts Construction Group in 2008. Her preconstruction and construction management experience spans an exceptionally broad portfolio — from luxury residential to affordable and supportive housing, cultural venues, healthcare, and entertainment facilities across New York City and Newark. Notable projects include 25 Park Row, a 50-story luxury condominium tower in Lower Manhattan; Ruby, the two-tower mixed-use development in Chelsea; Society Brooklyn & Sackett Place; and Kaufman Astoria Studios, a ground-up 120,000-square-foot production facility in Queens. Her affordable housing work encompasses projects such as Victory Plaza in Harlem and multiple Stevenson Square buildings in the Bronx — reflecting a deep commitment to equitable, community-centered development.
Julia earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil/Environmental Engineering at the Cooper Union. Outside UAG, Julia enjoys traveling with her family, gardening and fiber arts, and volunteering with Scouting America and the Morris County Park Commission’s Historic Sites.
