Tom Alaimo is Senior Vice President, Preconstruction at UAG, where he leads the firm’s Estimating, Purchasing, and Business Development departments. With more than 20 years of industry experience and a background in urban planning and architecture, Tom brings a rare dual perspective to preconstruction, combining a planner’s understanding of context and design intent with a builder’s command of cost, logistics, and constructability. Under his leadership, UAG has strengthened and expanded its in-house preconstruction services, giving clients sharper insight and greater cost certainty from a project’s earliest stages.
Tom has also played a central role in UAG’s growth beyond New York, serving as a core member of the leadership team that established the firm’s Florida office and extended its capabilities into a new market.
Before assuming his current role, Tom was a Project Executive at UAG, where he oversaw the successful delivery of high-profile developments including Ruby, a two-tower multifamily rental project in Chelsea, and Powerhouse Arts, a complex hybrid rehabilitation and ground-up construction facility in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning with a minor in Architecture from the University at Buffalo.
