Liberty Landing
In 2024, Empire State Development selected Fifth Avenue Builders to redevelop the former Bayview Correctional Facility into Liberty Landing, a mixed-use project delivering 131 affordable homes for low-income families along with supportive housing for individuals reentering from incarceration. The redevelopment will preserve the historic Main and Annex buildings while introducing new construction in the central courtyard to maximize housing capacity. Liberty Landing will also include a 9,300-square-foot community facility dedicated to youth programming and 15 short-term transitional units designed to support individuals with mental health needs.
