POWERHOUSE ARTS
Housed in the former Brooklyn Rapid Transit Power Station in Gowanus, Brooklyn, Powerhouse Arts is a platform for art production and employment in the arts. UAG provided preconstruction and construction management services for the non-profit, restoring the historic structure and constructing a new addition on the footprint of its demolished Boiler House. Today, the site houses fabrication and production facilities in wood, metal, ceramics, textiles, and print, as well as a 1,000-person event space in the landmark Grand Hall.
